Tinnitus Hearing Loss Is Curable
Tinnitus is a sound sensitivity in the ear where there are no external and corresponding sounds. It can be in one or in both the ears. It can even occur in the head. It is also called the ringing noise. In the tinnitus hearing loss, patients often complain of sounds, like hissing, buzzing, humming, whistling, and whining. The whistling sounds of roaring, clicking, and ticking may also echo in this hearing disorder. Tinnitus may result from ear infections or injury from loud and overbearing noises.
The tinnitus hearing loss in a person is measured by generating sample sounds with familiar amplitudes. You can ask the patient what s/he has heard. The method does work very well, and is useful in knowing the problem. It will be more obvious when the sounds' amplitude will be brought down. It will give an idea about the extent of the problem, in the affected person. The tinnitus is of two types and tested at two different levels. The two types are subjective tinnitus and objective tinnitus.
As tinnitus hearing loss can become permanent, you are advised to take certain precautionary measures. If there is a ringing sound in your ear, after the loud sound, for example, in a rock music party and a high-pitched noise at work place, it means your ear has been damaged. If you prolong your ear exposure to such level of noise, you will suffer from such hearing loss. If you are finding it rather a difficult place to be at, you should wear ear plugs and defenders to protect your ears.
There are special ear plugs and ear defenders for the musicians and DJs that greatly lower the sound of volume. These equipments protect the ears. There are many causes of tinnitus. These are caused by the otologic disorders. It means the similar conditions responsible for hearing loss. The most common cause is noise. If your ears are exposed to excessive noise, they would be troubled by tinnitus hearing loss. The ototoxic drugs increase the problem further. There are many reasons for it. There may be problem in the head, any prolonged disease or anything like that. Objective tinnitus can be treated effectively. There are several methods for that. But, there is no clear and effective method of treatment to cure subjective tinnitus. It is also probable that tinnitus can be cured even without any treatment. Subjective tinnitus can only be treated if the problems, like anxiety, bad health and weariness are treated first because it is related to them directly. Tinnitus hearing loss is curable if the person is out of stress. If the level of stress is reduced, tinnitus will also automatically come down.
